Rock the mullet MacGyver by haloisi?

Too sleepy to actually update, but just a few notes to be followed up on later.

*Live Free or Die Hard was absolutely brillantly wonderful.

*Shaare Zedek interview was the first interview I walked away actaully grinning from and felt like I had done a really good job. I think I actually might have a *chance.*

*Saw one of the best documentaries I've seen in years at the Jewish Film Festival held at Plaza Frontinac, called The Rape of Europa about the stolen and lost and destroyed paintings, sculpture and architecture of Poland, Russia, Italy, Germany, and France during WWII Nazi regime.

*Got together with my roomate from Salzburg today for the movie and saw another one of my Salzburg College friends who came in from Chicago who I hadn't seen in over a year.

After a conversation with

[info]world_falls, movies coming out in 2008 that I am excited for already:

Jurassic Park IV - Sam Neil returns! I hope they can get him AND Jeff Goldblum together for this wonderful thing! XD
Mummy 3- I love how they pretend that the Scorpion King never really existed. Yay for Brendan Fraser, and hurray for when not being able to get Rachel Weiz to come bak, just dropping in a new female actor as the exact same character with most likely no explanation. I love bad movies. I only worry about John Hannah not coming back.
Inkheart - Another Brenden Fraser movie, except with Helen Mirren, Jim Broadbent, Andy Serkis, and of course, Paul Bettany. This should be awesome. I hope. Or I might have to kick some ass.

Speaking of John Hannah, did anyone know that he was originally looked at to play Charlie on LOST? Haha, that's awesome. IF imdb.com has their info right.

I think I want to rent me some Stargate SG-1 and watch it in a way that's NOT on a crappy website. I caught it on tv this morning and it reminded me how funny it was.  At least I know [info]mad_maudlin will always watch it for me before she runs away to the Peace Corps!

Tonight is Oceans 13.  I have very little to say otherwise. I think I'm going to put on an old record on my parents' record player and play a card game with the mother.

Stolen from [info]cleolinda's livejournal

For all my Golden Compass friends out there-- the official movie website has the Find Your Personal Daemon quiz!!! YAY! Take your own quiz HERE.

My Daemon: A rabbit named Rasthmus. And this is the coolest part! Interactive! How do YOU think my results reflect me? My Daemon has 12 days before it takes it's final form! Click on the picture to give your thoughts! (So if you don't see a rabbit, it's because someone has changed the form with their answers).

Gorgeousness of Percy
Today in theater we watched the opening 5 minutes or so of the Laramie Project (Which I haven't seeeen yet, what's wrong with me?), but I was distracted by the fact that SCARYBEN from LOST was in it as a preacherman. Ack Ben! Stop following me! On another note of strange celebrities, in Russian we watched a Russian film called Prisoner of the Mountains (also called Prisoner of the Caucasus?), which is based on a story by Tolstoy, and one of the main characters was creeping me out by how much he was secretly a Russian Kevin Klein! IT was scary, I half expected the guy to break out into a Russian version of "I am a Pirate King!" Though the actors did sing drunken Russian songs a lot.  By the way, it's an AWESOME movie, I definitely reccomend it.

Okay, off to get ready for the senior seminar dinner at Il Spazio's! Whoot!

As found on [info]cleolinda's livejournal: The Pirates of the Caribbean III trailer a little earlier than usual! OF course it's in RUSSIAN, but hey! XD Also, with the exeception of Jack Sparrow and Norrington, I'm thinking everyone sounds better Russian (and the Bad Guys definitely sound scary, which is fun). I mean, the trailer is trying to be all Scary Epic OMG, and maybe they should just keep the Russian and subtitle it . XD I think I could almost handle Will and Elizabeth better that way! Anyway, Russian trailer for PoTC3:

So I've been scarce, but popping in to say that I've been having a really nice and fun spring break, even if I'm not really getting much done at all on the school front. But I've seen my family, Ash, Allison, finally got to see Pan's Labrynth (GAH depressing and beautiful), celebrated my mother's birthday,  went to a Motown Review dinner and music show at the casino, and have been getting sleep, which is amazing. So I'm enjoying myself, to say the least.

LOST was fun tonight, but OMG HEROES. I had to tape it on Monday because I was out playing with Ash, but ACK HEROES!!! HEROES. XD

Anyhow, this week is going WAY too fast, but at least I'm getting to see people, sleep, and do fun things.

On the note of children/young-adult books being made into movies that nobody else seems to have heard of/care about, I just found out that more AWESOME people have been added to the Inkheart castlist.  Ok, so it's not really new news, but I'm just finding out now. XD

Now along wity Brendan Fraser (Silvertongue), Paul Bettany (DUSTFINGER, yeah baby), and Andy Serkis (Capricorn), they've announced Helen Mirren (Elinor) AND Jim Broadbent (Fenoglio) to the cast!!! I am LOVING this cast already, and hopefully I'll be able to convince some of my friends to see it with me just based on the castlist if I can't make them read the book and love it like I do.

First Pictures from the Set!

Many of you guys read [info]cleolinda's livejournal anyway, but for those who don't, you might be interested to learn that The Golden COmpass movie official website has been released HERE.  Things are looking pretty awesome. XD  The city concept art is really gorgeous, and for some reason Nicole Kidman is exactly how I imagined Mrs. Coulter in my head when I first read the book. Also, you can play with an Alethiometer! I'm still going through the website and having fun. At first I was REALLY unsure about this book being made a movie, but I'm actually kind of excited. XD
tge
And for those who don't want to spend hours figuring out the symbols on the alethiometer themselves, also taken from Cleolinda's lj given out by [info]cran, we have:
