ALMOST done with the baby blanket! Finally! The entire blanket is knit, as well as the pocket. I'm SUPER proud of the pocket because it's my first time doing a successful stockinette stitch AND I did a rib on top! Left to do, none of which should actually take very long at all.

-weave in ends of blanket and pocket
-block blanket and pocket
-sew pocket to blanket

Celebrated my birthday tonight with the family since Dad teaches tomorrow night. The sister surprised me by making me a DELICIOUS cake (dubbed the "better than sex" cake, which was super sweet and absolutely amazing) of which I couldn't get enough of. Mom and Dad got me tickets to see Beethoven's 9th Symphony at the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and Sister is treating me to a pedicure and lunch at the London Tea Room. Whoooo! Today at work one of my student's mother brought me and my coworker in a cookie cake, and I think there is also going to be ANOTHER cake tomorrow. So much for all the weight I lost, but hey, it's worth it! Birthday time is a good time.
